Crude oil and natural gas resources often lie thousands of meters below the Earth’s surface. MISI provides globally its integrated tubular management services, contributing to oil and gas development. The line of services includes material recommendation for oil country tubular goods (OCTGs), as well as the procurement of OCTGs that meet the needs of specific drilling and production plans and related services that include storage, processing, inspections and repairs.

Europe is undergoing major shifts on the geopolitical front as well as it moves into a critical period of upheaval full of demands for positive climate change measures and other enlightened action. In Africa, certain countries are struggling with foreign currency shortages, although this market continues to generate growth on the strength of increasing population. Both regions are characterized by complex mixes of high potential and stiff challenges. MISEA is determined to evolve its operations on the foundation built on their markets over the years to date, with an eye on the future after changes. This upgrade will focus on the redoubled push to rise to the challenges existing on the trade and investment fronts. Recent moves in this direction include acquiring a construction steel processing and sales company in the UK, targeting local production for local consumption. We also invested in a company in Ireland that manufactures mooring anchors for floating offshore wind-power generation. We concentrate our efforts to secure access to renewable energy and other steps paving the way to greater progress.

Marubeni-Itochu Steel Pte.Ltd. (MISP)

Due to the economic growth of ASEAN countries, steel consumption is growing and local steel companies are continuing to show remarkable growth. MISP is shifting from transactions focused on importing products from outside the region to transactions based on local production and local consumption, and focusing on distribution within the ASEAN region, which is expected to continue to expand. We will pour more effort into develop new local customers and invest in other promising growth fields.

China is the world’s largest steel producing nation, and its steel industry is undergoing numerous dynamic changes. They include the reorganization and integration of steelmakers; adoption of smarter, more advanced production technology; expanded demand accompanying the country’s Belt and Road global infrastructure development vision; and mounting optimum responses to offshore wind power, solar power, electric vehicles and other new energy fields forecast to advance with evergreater momentum. Within this scope, Marubeni-Itochu Steel (Shanghai) collaborates with MISI’s local bases and subsidiaries active in China, moving to capture the steel demand in this massive market and create values that contribute to a brighter future for customers there.
