Iron & Steel Division - I
We supply all kinds of steel materials to both domestic and overseas car and parts manufacturers.
MISI was the first trading company to establish an electrical steel department, and its specialists are able to meet the advanced needs of customers both within and outside Japan by bearing in mind the special characteristics of electrical steel sheets.
Processing center in China launches a just-intime delivery service
As the world's third largest automobile producer after the United States and Japan, China is attracting investments from around the world. In particular, Guangzhou — often described as the Detroit of China — has become a major base for car and car parts manufacturing.
In March 2005, we set up our own automotive steel sheet manufacturing center in Guangzhou in response to this development. The manufacturing center is in an industrial complex about twenty minutes from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. It provides steel material processing and acts as a steel materials warehouse primarily for major Japanese car parts manufacturers as part of their logistical infrastructure. The center also provides a just-in-time delivery service like that in Japan.
The possibility that Chinese car manufacture will top nine million cars a year by the time the Beijing Olympics are held in 2008 is high, and Honda, Nissan and Toyota have already set up facilities in Guangzhou.
Also, European car manufacturers are considering setting up plants locally, so demand for our services is expected to increase in Guangzhou.
